How to deal with Haters and Negative People
1:54 PMThe limelight, it burns, not everyone can handle it. It comes with the territory of putting yourself out there, but that's a sacrifice I'll take for doing something I genuinely enjoy. You put yourself in the public eye, you lose a sense of privacy, you get judged, hated on, etc. on a daily basis. But we have to remember that it's only your interpretation of negativity that is hindering you from really growing as a person.
Fun fact, 8 years ago today, I posted my first YouTube video. It gained a decent traction of views but at the same time received an enormous amount of hate. I replied to each comment, and ended up taking down the videos due to one specific person commenting on how horrible the video was. Imagine if I never stopped and kept on posting videos, where I could've been? Instead, I ended up deleting my channel and this happened several times again. I could've kept on posting and who knows how well my videos would've turned out or how big my channel would've been. It's something that I really regret but I do need to realize that there's nothing I can do about it.
Fast forward today, I began making videos again and on an honest note, I think my videos back then were better but that was due to the fact I didn't have a lot of time constraints and as you get older, you feel like you feel more burdened. But what has changed is my outlook on 'hate' and how I'm still posting. I know I've only been 3 months strong and the general half life of a channel is around 6 months but I know it's different this time around, and I promise I'll keep getting better.
''A thousand people could love you, yet for some reason we focus on the three people who don't.
How come I never really respond to my haters or how come I never acknowledge the negative people on my videos because the reality is, I barely have time for people who love me and I'll be damned if I waste three seconds on a person that I know doesn't like me. The people who love you, are going to love you, and the people who hate you, no matter what you do they'll always hate you. So you're better off ignoring them and just focusing on the people that love you and you'll be ten times more successful than you've ever been.
The only person stopping you from becoming what you want really to be is you.
So with 2010 coming around the corner, when are you going to stop, stopping yourself from becoming whatever it is that you want to be.. even if that means you having to remove the negative energy from your inner circle and replacing them with people that show you nothing but love.''
